Platform East - Berlin & Eastern Europe

A platform for international artistic exchange and embodied understanding with its potential to profoundly effect our ways of thinking/dancing in the world. Activities include: performances of existing works, collaborations on new works, residencies, research, seminars. Multiple pods of activity occur at each site, building upon existing relationships developed by the artists. Year one (2016/2017) sites include: Berlin, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Poznan and eastern Finland. A second year will focus on in-bound activities to East Gippsland, Victoria.

Platform East embraces the shifting international circumstances of creative endeavour, affirming dialogue as the most ethical means of developing cultural exchange, keeping the artist at its centre.

Core artists: Rosalind Crisp, Bo Wiget, Andrew Morrish, Helen Herbertson, Ben Cobham, Marco Wehrspann. Partners: Tanzfabrik Berlin, Regional Dance Centre of Eastern Finland (ITAK), Art Stations Foundation Poznan Poland, Culture of Change Zagreb Croatia, Nomad Institute Ljubljana Slovenia.
