Throughout all July on Wednesdays at at 18:00, Dorota Łuczak and Magdalena Moskalewicz, PhD students at the Department of Art History, Adam Mickiewicz University, will give a series of lectures devoted to the work of one of the most interesting contemporary visual artists - Olafur Eliasson.

The artist has been interested in the issues of perception, and especially color perception, since the beginning of his artistic career. The artist particularly emphasizes the relationship between light and color. One of the fundamental features of his art is a desire to expose to the viewers the ways in which they personally construct the experience of the surrounding reality and, above all, to make them realize the fact that perception is never an objective act. Relying on the theory of optics, he uncovers different perceptual mechanisms right before the viewer's eyes.
