The piece consists of combined solo-works that have been conceived and premiered at the performance marathon at ponderosa tanzlandfestival during the past years.
In this solo Peter Pleyer interweaves major strands of his performance interest, from crocheting, dance-improvisation, queer theory, a.i.d.s.-activism and writing into a tapestry of stories and situations.

The piece is done in sections, in a collage the motives are getting puzzled together creating a whole that incorporates audience participation in direct speech and asking for help by performing certain actions. The focus is on the personal, there is a book here and there, a text, a dance, and costumes. Some of the music will reference to gay artists from the past. Techniques of new shamanic actions will link that past with the future.

Peter Pleyer studied after some years as actor in German theater, dance at the European Dance Development Centre at Art Academy in Arnhem (Netherlands). He worked as a dancer and choreographic assistant with Yoshiko Chuma (New York) and Mark Tompkins (Paris). Since his studies a longtime collaborator with Ezster Gal (Budapest) : choreography and improvisation (performances at the New York Impro Festival, Paris celebration of 20 years contact improvisationin). Peter choreographed his own dances (a.o. paticipant at the choreography competition in Groningen). In 2000 Peter has moved to Berlin. With a big interest in the theoretical studies of dance and dancemaking, he is frequently asked to supervise and coach performance projects in Germany and Sweden, with a focus on new methods in dance training and composition - where improvisation plays an essential role. Here he developed “choreographing books” a lecture/installation, with his view on the development of dance studies in the USA and Europe. He helped to create a dance education for contemporary choreography in Berlin and is teaching in different European festivals. His workshop “History in Practice" was taught for the Alternative Dance Academy in Poznan (Poland), at P.O.R.C.H. in Stolzenhagen, at the Polish Theater Institute in Warsaw, the MA for choregraphy in Arnhem (Netherlands), in Jerusalem, at HZT Berlin and Tanzquartier Wien. Since 2007 Peter is the artistic director of Tanztage Berlin, an annual festival for young choreography in Berlin.
